Equine Albums.

Charity Fun Rides are a great way for the local hunt or pony club to contribute to their local community, as well it keeps their horses sharp for the hunting season. All jumps are optional and the pace is set by mounted stewards. Participants take the FUN part seriously. Age is no barrier, I have seen 6 to infinity riding and having a brilliant time.

The photos on my pages plus those on Barry Naughton, Siobháin English, Jennifer O'Sullivan etc.. are an important part of the "Day out" 

Mounted Fox Hunting season is during the winter months, November to April. Packs, like, the Galway Blazers, Scarteen "Black & Tans" are well known. More and more packs are known as "Harriers". The object being the hunt and not the kill. Hunt packs are important for many reasons, not least the continuation of quality horses in Ireland.

                                                GAIN/Alltech Grand Prix

Congratulations to Capt. Michael Kelly and Mo Chroi jumping for the Minister For Defence on winning today's leg of the GAIN/Alltech Grand Prix held at Cavan Equestrian. Capt. Kelly was last to go in the jump off and just pipped Alexander Butler into 2nd place!. (The horse pictured is not Mo Chroi, Cap't Kelly changed mounts for the ceremony)
